The establishment of the Faculty of Information Technology as an independent part of Ton Duc Thang University in March 2012 was a logical conclusion of the University´s efforts to make its mark in the field of information technologies. The Faculty of Information Technology was transformed from the Faculty of Information Technology and Applied Mathematics (established in 1997).
The Faculty equips students with basic theory (programming languages, computer networks, operating system); programming skills (programming methodology, advance programming); organization of data and programs (data structures, algorithms: analysis and design, databases, object-oriented programming); software development (software engineering, system analysis and design, software project management), and networking & website development (network administration, web-based application development, Net technology).
In addition, from the field of information systems, our students study the design, implementation, and evaluation of information technologies from a variety of perspectives. The goal is to produce solutions that transform data into information and knowledge that is useful for individuals and organizations.
The Faculty is comprised of the following departments:
- Department of Software Engineering
- Department of Computer Networks
- Department of Information Systems
- Department of Computer Science
